Blog 5: My Future Job

As a Biochemistry, my future job can be anything... that is not related with my career, because there is not enough employs for all. I´m just kidding.

In this area, is really common the investigation with money from the government, and as you know, there is not so much money for science, so if you want to investigate something, you have to almost kill someone. If you are just starting, it will be really hard, because if you don´t have any poster, paper or a serious research, you will be on the bottom of the list, and if you are there, you don´t get any money to make a poster, a paper or a serious research. To me it is a little bit harder to understand.
I don´t want to get in that circle, so I´m going to specialize in education. Not only in the school, to all the people who want to know something about science. Right now, I´m doing tutoring on physics for students that are just finishing the school or people that took a year to think about what they want to do with their lifes. I really like that job, but it is not for money, so I have to find another thing, but I´m not leaving that, because is really helpful for someone who want to get to the university.

Obviously i don´t want that, i want something better.

Blog 3: My favourite music artist

Choosing one artist as your favourite is really hard (i think) for almost everyone. Personally, I really like rock music, but today i will talk about a Chilean band called Quilapayun. They are one of the most important folk music group of this country. They had an important participation in the government of Salvador Allende, in 1970. After the military coup, in 1973, while they were in a tour in France, Quilapayun was forced to the exile. They were back in Chile in 1988 to support the opposition. Probably almost everyone I've listened a song of Quilapayun. The most famous is “La muralla”, but the most iconic, “El pueblo unido jamas será vencido” is the best song I've ever heard. It is a little bit hard to listen to this guys, specially if you are not agree with they political thinking, but even if this is the case, you cannot forget the musical value that Quilapayun have. To me, the best work of them is the “Cantata Santa Maria de Iquique”, in honor to the 3000 mi...

Blog 2: The best concert I've ever had

It's a little hard for me to choose only one concert. I think it´s between two of them: Queen of the Stone Age and a festival called Rockout. In the Rockout fest, i was with a friend. We were hungry and thirsty, but none of those things were be able to ruin that day. We saw Devo, Blind Melon, and my favourite: Primus. A really weird band, but with three musicians from another world. I really enjoy it. QOTSA was another story. I went alone and im not going to lie, i was afraid. When everything started, i forgot that. I sang all of the songs, I jumped when i could (there´s almost no space between me and the other guys), and when i was thinking that it was enough with all the sweat in my body and clothes (probably the most of it wasn't coming from me), the people around me started a mosh pit.If you ask me right now if i ever wanted to get in a mosh pit, my answer is no, but in that moment i didn't thought about it. There is a video of another concert, but i think it is real...
